Domain competence training

Our Technical Data Training Course Offering is aimed at giving a greater breadth and depth of understanding of the telecom and data communication areas. We have worked with telecom and data communications for many years ourselves and carefully selected the colleagues for our team who have an expert background in these areas. All of this helped us to gather and organize our knowledge into the set of courses that cover all information that is important to know, and what is often expected to be known but usually never explained.

Our courses cover many topics: from the basics of GPRS and LTE/EPS networks and data communication models to policy and charging control in mobile networks. The courses are currently held in Sweden.

The Basics of LTE/EPS and GPRS Mobile Data Networks

This course gives a short introduction to LTE/EPS and GPRS mobile data networks. It is primarily aimed at those who work with or are interested in the area.

Topics: network evolution, architecture, concepts, and functionality; use-case-oriented descriptions of connection and mobility handling, VoIP, Quality of Service, and machine-to-machine communication.

Prerequisites: general technical background.

Duration: 2 hours.

Format: theory.

Mobile Data Networks: A Broader Perspective

This course gives an introduction to LTE/EPS and GPRS mobile data networks and gives a broader perspective on LTE/EPS system. It is primarily aimed at those who work with or are interested in gaining a greater knowledge of the area.

Topics: everything covered in the course The Basics of LTE/EPS and GPRS Mobile Data Networks with extended descriptions on the session and mobility handling. Main radio principles, packet inspection, policy control, Quality of Service, offline and online charging in a service-aware network, and fundamentals of interfaces and protocols are also included.

Prerequisites: general technical background.

Duration: 12 hours.

Format: theory and exercises.

Mobile Data Networks: Charging

This course covers the offline and online charging in LTE/EPS and GPRS mobile data networks. It is primarily aimed at those who work with or are interested in gaining a greater knowledge of the area.

Topics: Charging methods and principles, charging system components, and charging data collection and transfer.

Prerequisites: The Basics of LTE/EPS and GPRS Mobile Data Networks course, the Mobile Data Networks: a Broader Perspective course, or equivalent knowledge.

Duration: 4 hours.

Format: theory and exercises.

Mobile Data Networks: Policy and Charging Control, Quality of Service

This course gives an overview of the architecture and functionality of service-based policy and charging control. Quality of Service within this framework is also covered. It is primarily aimed at those who work with or are interested in gaining a greater knowledge of the area.

Topics: architecture and drivers, packet inspection, access control, usage reporting, traffic redirection, and Quality of Service from an end-to-end perspective.

Prerequisites: The Basics of LTE/EPS and GPRS Mobile Data Networks course, the Mobile Data Networks: a Broader Perspective course, or equivalent knowledge.

Duration: 4 hours.

Format: Theory and exercises.

Introduction to Data Communication

This course gives an overview of data communication models and IP-based technologies used in computer networks. It is primarily aimed at those who work with or are interested in gaining a greater knowledge of the area.

Topics: networking terms and concepts, such as switching, routing, and tunneling. Fundamentals of the OSI model. TCP/IP, Ethernet, IPv4, IPv6, and VPN.
