Sigma Technology regularly takes part in activities that contribute to a sustainable future, by supporting innovation and development through education.
For several years in a row, Sigma Technology Solutions in Gothenburg have been running LIA or Lärande i Arbete (Swedish for Learning while Working), a program helping students to combine theory with practice, while they are out at the workplace.
Are you looking for a new challenge to embark on this spring? We have prepared several projects covering Mixed Reality, GPS and 4G, iOS and Android development, and others!
Ella Einarsen and Christian Heina, students of IT-Högskolan in Gothenburg, developed an Augmented Reality (AR) application for Android.
The idea of the project is to make information search much easier. The user just needs to point the phone camera towards the object and get the essential facts that are needed. No PDFs or manuals anymore.
Johan Magnusson and Daniel Fröjdendahl have transformed an AR Android app into a new Unity-based VR solution as their internship project at Sigma Technology.
The concept was to make product information more visual, presenting it in a more user-friendly way. The initial app was built on Android OpenGL but was later changed to Unity since it was a better Android VR platform.
The registration for the LIA internship at Sigma Technology Solutions is now open and closes on April 30. You can submit your application by emailing Jessica Mitrosbaras.
