Embla - Female Embedded Programming Network

Welcome to join the first female network dedicated to Embedded Programming in Linköping. Meet, learn, and share knowledge with women working, studying, or just passionate about embedded software. Sign up for our first event on November 4.

Why Embla?

Embla stands for Embedded Ladies Association. Embla is also the first woman created by gods, according to Nordic mythology. Our vision is to inspire more women to pursue a career in embedded programming and create a safe place for knowledge sharing and networking in Linköping.

What is Embla about?

As a member of Embla, you can attend workshops and inspirational events dedicated to embedded software and technology. During workshops you will get to work in groups and build different embedded products with the help of different tools (e.g. Arduino, Raspberry Pi, etc.). We will talk about CAD, smart homes, robotics, VR, electronics in daily life and many more.

Who can join?

The female embedded programming network Embla is open to everyone who is interested in embedded programming or embedded software. The membership is free.

Join us on November 4!

Welcome to our first event on November 4. During the evening, we are going to build a colorful Flappy Bird-like game. We start by going through how to easily get started with your Raspberry Pi, everything from how the hardware is connected to how to load software, and in what way you can use a LED matrix. Then you will get to try coding your own game in Python. We arrange food and drink during the evening and follow the health recommendations. We have limited the number of participants to ensure a safe environment for our guests, that's why we only have 20 spots for this first workshop.

- When? November 4, 17:00-20:00.
- Where? Sigma office, Ågatan 7, Linköping.
- Amount of places? 20 guests, after that - waiting list.
