Sigma Technology at the Inaugural Swedish-Hungarian Innovation Forum

Sigma Technology participated in the first Swedish-Hungarian Innovation Forum on Thursday October 4. The event was inaugurated by Karin Olofsdotter, Ambassador of Sweden and Dr. Zoltán Cséfalvay, State Secretary, Ministry for National Economy. During the event, a keynote speech was given by Carl Bildt, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Sweden.
 
Participating Swedish companies: Sigma Technology, Electrolux, Ericsson, SAAB, Metropol, and ABB.
 
The forum focused on the following topics: how to develop an attractive investment environment for innovation and R&D, the role of fast growing start-ups, how innovation serves everyday life, and the role of education in R&D. The aim of the event was to promote an exchange of ideas and practices between decision makers and experts from the public and private sectors of Sweden and Hungary, as both countries are currently preparing national innovation strategies.
 
The Swedish-Hungarian Innovation Forum is followed by a students’ day and a photo contest, both sponsored by the Swedish-Hungarian Innovation Forum, focusing on Swedish innovation, with the purpose of introducing students to Sweden and innovative solutions of leading Swedish companies.
 
A key role was played by the Embassy of Sweden, the Swedish Trade Council, Sigma Technology, and the other leading Swedish companies in the organization of the Swedish-Hungarian Innovation Forum.
